What is spectrum wifi pod?

Spectrum WiFi Pods are compact devices that extend the range and coverage of a Spectrum WiFi network. They are designed to eliminate dead zones and improve WiFi consistency throughout a home or office. The Pods use a mesh network technology to communicate with the Spectrum WiFi router and with each other, creating a seamless and unified WiFi network.

Unlike WiFi extenders, Spectrum WiFi Pods automatically connect devices to the strongest WiFi signal available, without the need for switching between multiple networks. They also work in a self-configuring and self-managing way, constantly optimizing the WiFi performance based on the environment and usage patterns.

Spectrum WiFi Pods are available for rental for customers who subscribe to Spectrum Internet service. A minimum of one Pod is recommended for up to a 2,000 square foot home, and up to two additional Pods can be added for larger homes or challenging environments. Each Pod has two Ethernet ports for wired connections and is easy to set up using the My Spectrum App.
